The Rochester Royals moved to Cincinnati to become the Cincinnati Royals. The Cincinnati Royals moved to Kansas City to become the Kansas City Kings. The Kansas City Kings moved to Sacramento to become the Sacramento Kings. Now, the franchise may continue its epic journey, as Kings ownership is reportedly seriously considering a move to Anaheim in 2011.

According to Marc Stein, the Kings may apply to the NBA for the move prior the March 1 deadline, and team officials have been spending time in Orange County to assess the viability of such a move.

The Kings have been unable to build a new arena in Sacramento, and Anaheim already has an NBA-ready building, the Honda Center — the home of the Anaheim Ducks.

The Kings owners, the Maloof brothers, are apparently also looking at other cities, but Anaheim's arena makes it a logical choice.

"We have to look at all of our options at this point. But we also want to concentrate on our team right now. Any of the arena stuff, we'll talk about that later," said Joe Maloof.

David Stern also confirmed the potential move this weekend.
