The Spurs-Liverpool bidding war for Charlie Adam looks set to renew this summer, as both Kenny Dalglish and chief Spurs scout Ian Bloomfield were on hand for the Blackpool star's two-goal performance this past Saturday.

According to the Sunday Mirror, Liverpool is "ready to outbid" the Spurs for the 25-year-old's services come summer.

Harry Redknapp was reportedly moments from signing Adam as the transfer window closed on Jan. 31, and Liverpool were said to have been very close to his signature as well, having multiple bids, including a £9 million ($14.6 million) proposal, rejected in January.

While Blackpool manager Ian Holloway stubbornly held on to his captain in the winter, largely for the sake of the relegation battle, he has acknowledged that Adam will likely leave Bloomfield Road for a top club this summer.

Adam himself has been outspoken about his desire to play for Liverpool, even handing in a transfer request in January.
