The 25-year-old won Miss Michigan prior to winning Miss USA, becoming the first American with a Middle-Eastern background –she's Lebanese — to earn the title. However, Fakih was the first American not to place at the Miss Universe pageant since 2002.
Adding to her resume, the reigning Miss USA was named 2011's 86th sexiest woman alive on askmen.com.
Last season, Romero had a 14-9 record with a 3.73 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 174 strikeouts. The 26-year-old pitcher also performed well in his first start of the 2011 season, earning the win after tossing 6 1/3 innings and allowing only one earned run, while striking out seven.
