Do You Like Dustin Pedroia Batting Third in the Red Sox Lineup?

Perhaps channeling his inner Jimy Williams, Red Sox manager Terry Francona has now unleashed yet another new rundown for Tuesday's clash in Cleveland.

That's four different lineups in four games compared to using the same lineup in each of the first four games last season. In fact, the only bench player to get in any of the first four games of 2010 was one pinch-hitting appearance by Jeremy Hermida (fist bump to Tony Lee for that info).

The most notable change to the lineup for Game 4 of the regular season is that second baseman Dustin Pedroia, who has spent the majority of his major league career in the No. 2 hole, has been slid back to the No. 3 slot. Carl Crawford, who hit both third and seventh over the weekend, will bat second.

Do you like seeing Pedroia, the 2008 AL MVP hitting third?

He's made 45 career plate appearance as the Sox' No. 3 hitter and has a .275 batting average with three homers and seven RBIs. Pedey has seen over 1,800 plate appearances as the second hitter and owns a .313 batting average to go with 42 homers and 198 RBIs.

Crawford, meanwhile, has spent the majority of his career in the No. 2 hole, as well. In well over 2,500 plate appearances, Crawford has a .305 batting average to go with 400 runs scored and 304 RBIs. Batting third in 860 plate appearances, the left fielder has hit .291 with 108 runs and 107 RBIs.
