In addition to the dozens of Coyotes fans, there's one member of the team who doesn't appear pleased with the club's reported move to Winnipeg for the 2011-12 season.
Phoenix goalie Ilya Bryzgalov told Slam Sports that he'd rather go back to Russia than play in Winnipeg.
"You don't want to go to Winnipeg, right?" asked Bryzgalov, a soon-to-be free agent. "Not many people live there, not many Russian people there. Plus, it's cold. There's no excitement except the hockey. No park, no entertaining for the families, for the kids. It's going to be tough life for your family.
"I've been there for just once, maybe twice, when I [played] in minors. It was really cold," the 30-year-old keeper added. "I used the tunnels between the buildings to get to the arena because it was minus-40-something. Real cold."
Bryzgalov has been solid between the pipes for the Coyotes, since joining the team in 2007. In the last two years, he's gone 42-20-6 with a 2.29 GAA (2009-10) and 36-20-10 with a 2.48 GAA (2010-11).
