The backlash just keeps on mounting for Jalen Rose.

ESPN is taking the NBA analyst off the air after a report found that Rose waited nearly three weeks to tell the organization about his drunken driving arrest in Michigan, USA Today reports.

"Rose's concealment compromises ESPN," ESPN's Poynter review read on Friday afternoon.

Because Rose waited almost three full weeks to inform his bosses of what had happened, a Detroit television station broke the news of Rose's arrest before ESPN ever had the chance to make any kind of statement.

"Jalen has accepted full responsibility for his actions," ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz wrote in an email. "Both parties are taking this very seriously, and as a result, we've agreed that he will not be on our air while he addresses this situation."

Krulewitz also said that ESPN made the decision to pull Rose from the air before Poynter released the report.

Rose issued an apology earlier in the week.

"I apologize to my family, my employer and each and every one of my supporters for my lapse in judgment," Rose said. "I am particularly sorry for disappointing those who trust me to serve as a role model for young people. I accept full responsibility for my actions and look forward to a resolution of the legal matter as soon as possible."

Scheduled to appear in court on April 20, Rose will have to wait a couple of weeks before anything can be resolved legally. In the meantime, though, his Uncle Tom comments will likely keep him at the center of controversy as former Duke players like Grant Hill and Thomas Hill are publicly speaking out against what he said during ESPN's Fab Five documentary.
