Jon Lester Earns Amica Pitcher of the Week Honors With Eight-Inning Performance in BaltimoreJon Lester is finding his groove.

After giving up five runs in his first start of the season, Lester has given up only six in his subsequent five.

In fact, of that handful, Lester’s two-run performance in Baltimore on Thursday was technically second worst in terms of runs allowed.

At eight innings, however, it was his longest outing of the season, and he lowered his ERA to 2.52 in the process. Lester is now 3-1 and leading the Sox staff in wins, ERA and strikeouts.

Add it all up, and there’s no doubt that he’s deserving of the Amica Pitcher of the Week award.
