Josh Beckett's Gem Against Yankees Earns Him Amica Pitcher of the Week Honors So much for that idea about how Josh Beckett can't pitch against the Yankees.

In a season in which most Red Sox pitchers have yet to find their stride, Beckett did exactly that this past Sunday, posting eight innings of shutout ball against the guys in pinstripes.

The performance was truly dominant, as the Sox ace struck out 10 and allowed just two hits to the stacked Yankees lineup.

With that performance, Beckett lowered his ERA to 2.08. So far, No. 19 is having the comeback year Sox fans were hoping for.
