There's awesome, and then there is what Tim Thomas was on Monday night in Game 2 of the Bruins' Eastern Conference semifinal win over the Philadelphia Flyers.
Thomas turned away 52 shots, keying a 3-2 Bruins win in overtime, a win that gave the B's a 2-0 series lead. The veteran goalie received piles of praise from his teammates, his coach and even front office members in what has to be the best game of his career.
The NHL was certainly impressed as well. They were so impressed, in fact, that they gave Thomas his own "History Will Be Made" commercial.
