Fifteen-Year-Old Bruins Fan Wants Tyler Seguin Autograph Tattooed to Arm

Athletes' autographs can be keepsakes for some and collectibles for others. Either way, the signature of a fan's favorite player will be kept with care and protection. Yet, when autographed items stray away from pictures and game balls, the preservation of that item can get tough.

That's the situation that Bruins fan Sarah Hrubo found herself in when Tyler Seguin signed a more unique item — her arm.

According to the Eagle Tribune, Hrubo, a 15-year-old freshman from Haverhill, Mass., has been taking careful measures in keeping the signature in pristine condition so she can one day get it tattooed to her arm.

"When I take a shower I wrap it in plastic wrap, and when I go to bed I wrap it in an ace bandage so it doesn't rub off onto my sheets," Hrubo said, "I'd like to keep it until I'm old enough to get a tattoo of it."

The signature is not the only autograph in Hrubo’s possession. She also owns a Terry O'Reilly autographed hockey stick and puck, in addition to a Nathan Horton signed photo. And now, after attending the rally for the Bruins as they took off for Vancouver last week, she has the John Hancock of a 19-year-old center that Boston has high hopes for.

"Tyler Seguin walked up to me and I asked him to sign my left arm with a permanent marker," she said, "I think he thought it was kind of creepy as other people were getting autographs on paper signs they were handing out.”

For those wondering at home, the tattoo law in Massachusetts states "no tattooing on a person … under the age of 18," meaning Hrubo's going to have a two-to-three-year wait until she can start washing her left arm again.
