With the final pick in round four of the 2011 NHL draft, the Bruins selected Brian Ferlin from the Indiana Ice of the United States Hockey League on Saturday.
A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Ferlin played 112 games in two seasons with the Ice. After a mediocre 16-point output in his first season, the 19-year-old forward exploded with 25 goals and 48 assists in the 2010-2011 season.
The 6-foot-2, 201-pound right winger is committed to play at Cornell University in the 2011-2012 season.
