Bruins Select Cornell Recruit Brian Ferlin With Fourth-Round Pick in NHL Draft

With the final pick in round four of the 2011 NHL draft, the Bruins selected Brian Ferlin from the Indiana Ice of the United States Hockey League on Saturday.

A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Ferlin played 112 games in two seasons with the Ice. After a mediocre 16-point output in his first season, the 19-year-old forward exploded with 25 goals and 48 assists in the 2010-2011 season.

The 6-foot-2, 201-pound right winger is committed to play at Cornell University in the 2011-2012 season.
