Jon Lester's Focus on Executing His Pitches Helps Red Sox Leave Philadelphia on High Note

Jon Lester and the entire Red Sox pitching staff usually point toward one thing after a start -- did they execute their pitches?

Lester did just that on Thursday afternoon in Philadelphia, and as a result, the Sox leave town avoiding a sweep at the hands of the Phillies. Still, Lester insisted that he wasn't necessarily trying to play the role of stopper, rather he was just trying to make his pitches with the assumption that everything else would fall into place after that.

It did, and because of it, the Sox now head to Houston on a winning note while Lester is able to reach the 10-win plateau.

Hear more of what Lester had to say in the video above.
