Boston fans take pride in their dedication to their teams, which was evident by the estimated 1 million fans that showed up for the Bruins parade on Saturday. Yet, it's the 30,000 who showed up at Fenway that night who are considered the premier fans in their respective sport.

Bundle.com, a website solely dedicated to analyzing money, decided to research which baseball fans are the most obsessed with their team. Unsurprisingly, Red Sox fans topped the list.

The study took into account attendance, revenue, fans' willingness to spend on entertainment and food, and a city's fantasy baseball usage. The Red Sox finished in the top three of each category, including topping the list for "teams' cities' average monthly household spending on entertainment" at $110.

The San Francisco Giants finished second, followed by the Chicago Cubs, St.Louis Cardinals and New York Yankees.

The majority of Red Sox fans recognized their obsession and that their status was higher than the Yankees.

"It feels like it’s kind of a sickness now, rather than just being a fan," Red Sox fan Erick Aguirre told Bundle.

"Red Sox fans will stay until the end of the game no matter what," Aguirre added. "They can be getting blown out by 10 runs, and everyone will stay. It's because we always think we have a chance.

"With the Yankees," he continued, "if they’re not winning by two or three runs in the seventh or eighth inning, a lot of people start to leave."

In the Yankees' defense, since Boston is currently the City of Champions, fans rarely have a reason to leave a game early.
