Red Sox fans got a bit of a scare late Wednesday night when reports surfaced that second baseman Dustin Pedroia was headed back to boston to have an aching right knee examined.

Red Sox manager Terry Francona stressed to reporters on Thursday, though, that the decision was made just to make sure that Pedroia was all right, and the skipper stressed that Pedroia didn't even want to have it looked at.
