Which Bruins Player Should Throw Out the First Pitch at Fenway Park? The Bruins are on top of the hockey world until next year’s Stanley Cup Final, but here in Boston, they’re going to be the talk of the town for a long, long time.

Assuming that the Red Sox invite the B’s to Fenway Park to toss out the ceremonial first pitch during the upcoming home stand, we ask: Which Bruin will be chosen to represent the squad and toe the rubber at Fenway?

B’s captain Zdeno Chara is a likely choice, and at 6-foot-9, the Sox scouting department may want to see his heater in action. Tim Thomas, the postseason MVP and likely 2010-11 Vezina Trophy winner, would also be a good bet as the Tank is arguably the most beloved player on the B’s roster. He also happens to be the only American on the squad and is a proud alum of nearby UVM.

Fan favorites Patrice Bergeron and Milan Lucic wouldn’t be poor choices either, as the two young forwards can go just about anywhere in this town without their wallets. Lucic already has experience in the batter’s box at the Fens, so why not see what the kid can do on the rubber?
