Phillies pitcher Vance Worley shut down the Red Sox 2-1 on Wednesday.

The young pitcher allowed just one run on five hits over seven innings. Second baseman Dustin Pedroia praised the young pitcher’s performance after the game.

“He had great mound presence, and we were all very impressed,” Pedroia told The Associated Press. “It’s really good for a kid that young to have a presence like that on the mound. He’s going to be a good one.”
