LeBron James Strikes Nike Sponsorship Deals With Ohio State, Kentucky, Miami The University of North Carolina wears Michael Jordan's brand for good reason. He won a national championship as a Tar Heel, six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls, and is the most recognizable player in basketball.

LeBron James did not attend Ohio State, Kentucky or Miami. He did not win a national championship in college. He has not won an NBA championship in his eight years in the league. But being LeBron James is apparently enough to land sponsorship deals with those three schools, the Sporting News reports.

James — who roots for Ohio State — and his Nike-branded gear will sponsor the Buckeyes, Wildcats and Hurricanes next season. James' publicist, Keith Estabrook, refused to comment on the deal, according to the Sun Sentinel. He instead directed the paper to forward all questions to Nike.
