Memphis Redbirds Unveil Organ-Themed Uniforms in Anticipation of Organ Donor Night Nothing says "Please sign up to be an organ donor" quite like seeing intestines on a baseball uniform.

That must be the thinking of the Memphis Redbirds, the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. On Aug. 13, the team is hosting Organ Donor Night at the ballpark, encouraging fans to sign up to be organ donors in conjunction with the National Foundation for Transplants.

In honor of the event, the team will wear special jerseys that feature human organs on the front and the back. There will be a silent auction at the park for fans who are interested in purchasing the jersey, which will be helpful for anyone studying for an anatomy exam.

The Redbirds should be commended for increasing awareness for organ donors, but the uniforms need their own donation to the trash.
