Report: Tully Banta-Cain to Be Released by Patriots The Patriots apparently aren't worried about their pass rush.

The team is set to cut ties with Tully Banta-Cain, the Patriots' sack leader over the past two seasons, on Thursday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Banta-Cain had 9.5 sacks in 2009 and added 5.5 in 2010, but it was reported this week that he needed abdomen surgery that will keep him out for four to five weeks.

Banta-Cain was cut by the Patriots midseason in 2009, though he re-signed just days later.
