Which AFC East Division Rival of the Patriots Has Improved Its Roster the Most This Offseason? The Patriots have been very active since the NFL lockout ended. They've acquired Chad Ochocinco and Albert Haynesworth in two of the offseason's biggest transactions. But as the Patriots have been working hard to improve their roster, so have their division rivals.

The New York Jets have locked up free-agent wide receiver Santonio Holmes to a five-year deal and have been actively pursuing other key free agents — although they lost out on star cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.

The Jets have also re-signed safety Eric Smith to a three-year contract and kicker Nick Folk to a one-year deal.

The Miami Dolphins, meanwhile, traded for running back Reggie Bush and have signed quarterback Matt Moore, who could battle with Chad Henne for the team's starting job. The Dolphins have also re-signed defensive lineman Tony McDaniel and have signed linebacker Jason Trusnik, running back Daniel Thomas and wide receiver Clyde Gates.

The Buffalo Bills' biggest offseason acquisition has been Marcell Dareus, who they selected third overall in the NFL draft. The University of Alabama standout led the SEC in sacks in 2009 and was named the Defensive MVP of the 2010 BCS National Championship Game.

There is still plenty of time for the Patriots' AFC East foes to make moves and improve their roster. But each team is already making strides toward improving in 2011.
