As if the AFC East wasn't going to be exciting enough this season, three teams stocked up with three of the most exciting offensive players in the NFL.
The Patriots, who apparently thought Tom Brady needed another All-Pro target this fall, acquired Chad Ochocinco in a trade with the Bengals. Ochocinco comes to New England with 66 career TDs and close to 11,000 career receiving yards. Despite playing for teams that have gone 3-15 in 18 career contests against AFC East foes in the past, Ochocinco has 70.2 yards per game in those battles.
Plaxico Burress is looking to make an impact this season — his first since being released from prison — and he certainly picked the right team to do so. Plax joins a Jets offense that was one win away from the Super Bowl last winter. Alongside Santonio Holmes, Derrick Mason and Dustin Keller — and not to mention Shonn Greene and LaDainian Tomlinson out of the backfield — Burress will be able to spread the field with quarterback Mark Sanchez.
The Dolphins made a move this offseason that may have gained more attention in the tabloids than in sports media when they welcomed Reggie Bush to Miami. With Chad Henne running things (for now), look for Bush to carry the load this season in South Beach, and put up pretty ridiculous numbers in doing so.
