Patriots Defensive Line Situation Remains Unclear, But Veteran Additions Could Be Dominant This Season

The Patriots have been busy trying to increase their Super Bowl chances this offseason and perhaps no area reflects that as much as the team's defensive line.

Albert Haynesworth, Shaun Ellis and Andre Carter highlight the team's veteran defensive line additions.

NESN.com's Jeff Howe said that the defensive line could be the most interesting storyline of the preseason, as some of the younger players are trying to compete with the veteran acquisitions for a spot on the active roster.

The Boston Globe's Shalise Manza Young said that the defensive line has the potential to be dominant this season, but it remains to be seen in what capacity each new player will be used.
