Report: Eagles Offered Randy Moss Contract Not Long After He Retired Just moments after Randy Moss announced his retirement on Monday, speculation about the wide receiver's future plans began.

A lot of people were not convinced that the seven-time Pro Bowler was actually hanging up his cleats for good, and apparently the Eagles' front office is included in that group.

"After Moss filed his retirement papers, I'm told the Eagles made an offer," the Boston Herald's Karen Guregian tweeted on Wednesday.

"So file that under bad timing," she added.

Bad timing, or the beginning of a new Brett Favre-like saga?

Let the speculation continue.
