Red Sox Left-Hander Jon Lester Draws Amica Pitcher of the Week Honors After losing his previous two starts, Jon Lester bounced back in a big way this week at a time his team needed him.

In the midst of an unusual three-game, two-day homestand, Lester dominated the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday by pitching seven strong innings. The lefty allowed three hits and one run while striking out eight and issuing only one walk.

That performance improved Lester's season record to 12-6 and lowered his earned run average to 3.22 to garner him Amica Pitcher of the Week honors.

Lester is slated to take the ball again Sunday against the Royals, looking for his second victory in as many starts.
