Relive the Moment: Jon Lester Completes Baseball Comeback, Throws No-Hitter Against Royals at Fenway Park in 2008

Less than two years after undergoing treatment for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, Jon Lester took the mound at Fenway Park on May 19, 2008 in a start against the Royals. Nine innings later, Lester brought Red Sox Nation to its feet by tossing a no-hitter, and was subsequently mobbed by teammates and an emotional Terry Francona, who was overcome with joy to see Lester return to baseball in grand form.
