The Red Sox are reportedly down another starting pitcher.

Righty Clay Buchholz may miss the remainder of the season with a stress fracture in his lower back, according to a report by Comcast which was later confirmed by sources close to ESPN on Monday night.

Buchholz is 6-3 with a 3.48 ERA in 14 starts this summer and is 35-24 with a 3.64 ERA in five career MLB seasons with the Sox.

The team transferred Buchholz from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list on Sunday to make room for new acquisition Erik Bedard.
