It looks like Osi Umenyiora is going to remain a New York Giant, whether he likes it or not.

The Pro Bowl defensive end and his agent had been given permission to seek out a trade this week, but that window is now closed, according to a report by Mike Garafolo of The Star-Ledger.

"[A source] said the team's reasoning was Umenyiora's agent, Tony Agnone, has been unable to find a team willing to give up a first-round pick," Garafolo reported.

Umenyiora is entering his eight season in the league, all with the Giants. He made the Pro Bowl in 2005 and '07, and was named an All-Pro in '05 and '10. He holds the Giants record for most sacks in a single game with six, and he has 60 sacks altogether. Last season, he started all 16 games and finished with 11.5 sacks.
