FOXBORO, Mass. — Tight end Rob Gronkowski returned to the field Wednesday after suffering an undisclosed injury earlier in the week.

The Pats held a 75-minute walkthrough inside Gillette Stadium to prepare for Thursday’s preseason opener against the Jaguars. They were in shorts and shells for the second consecutive day, and it was their 15th practice of camp.

Wide receiver Chad Ochocinco was absent for a large portion of practice for unknown reasons, but he was on the field for the conclusion of the session.

Defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth was also missing. He hasn’t practiced since Thursday.

Gronkowski walked off the field Monday and was not at practice Tuesday, so Wednesday’s emergence should be considered a good sign.

Linebacker Brandon Spikes (ankle) did not practice, but he did watch a portion of the session from the sideline.

Wide receiver Brandon Tate (hamstring), cornerback Ras-I Dowling (hamstring), running back Shane Vereen (hamstring), safety James Sanders (hamstring), running back Eric Kettani, running back Kevin Faulk, safety Josh Barrett, offensive lineman Marcus Cannon, offensive lineman Ryan Wendell, right guard Dan Connolly (right elbow), offensive lineman Chris Morris, defensive lineman Brandon Deaderick, left tackle Matt Light, defensive lineman Shaun Ellis, defensive lineman Ron Brace and defensive lineman Mike Wright were also missing.

Faulk, Cannon, Deaderick, Light, Ellis and Brace have not yet practiced during training camp.
