Vote: Which Potential September Call-Up Could Have Greatest Impact For Red Sox? The minor leagues have provided the Red Sox with crucial reinforcements all season, from Andrew Miller assuming a role in the rotation to Josh Reddick taking ownership of right field.

Soon a few more of the cavalry will ride in from the farm system. Ryan Lavarnway's debut was just a taste of the wave of arrivals that are bound to come on Sept. 1, when major league rosters expand.

Among those who might offer assistance are Felix Doubront and Kyle Weiland, both of whom have big league experience and could offer bullpen help. Doubrount has had 15 major league appearances, including three this season, and as a 6-foot-2 lefty, he is unlike anyone the Red Sox currently carry in their bullpen. Weiland struggled in two starts earlier this season, allowing nine earned runs in 10 innings, but he's been a reliable piece of the Triple-A PawSox' rotation all year.

If it's positional help Boston needs, they have a few young (yet familiar) faces in Jose Iglesias and Ryan Kalish.

Iglesias is still figuring out how to hit professional pitching, but he can contribute right away with his glove and on the basepaths. Kalish might be patrolling right field instead of Reddick if not for injuries that have limited him to 24 games this season. Kalish proved he can hit in his time with the Red Sox in 2010.
