Patriots Cheerleaders Jessica and Randi Make Preseason Predictions, Like Pats' Chances, Cam Newton to Excel This is the time of year for pigskin prognostication, and NFL cheerleaders are no different.

Esquire.com turned to the bearers of the pom-poms to get some of their takes on who's poised for a big year on the field. A pair of Patriots cheerleaders — Randi and Jessica — were asked for their opinion.

Unsurprisingly, when asked who she thought the Super Bowl favorite was, Jessica responded with the hometown team, the Pats.

"I absolutely think we have what it takes to make it to Indy this season," she said. "We have veterans with championship experience, new additions like Chad Ochocinco, and fresh rookies who will be polished — by the greatest coaching staff in the league."

Randi, on the other hand, was asked which rookie she thought would take home the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Unlike her teammate, she didn't go with the team she knows best and go with Nate Solder or Shane Vereen. Instead, Randi thinks No. 1 overall pick Cam Newton will win the honor, but she did give a sleeper pick, too.

"I think with the Panthers lacking a great veteran quarterback, Cam Newton has the opportunity to step in right away and prove himself this season," she said. "Also, watch out for A.J. Green with the Bengals — he should get plenty of chances as well."
