Tom Brady Earns AFC Player of the Week Honors for 517-Yard Performance Against Dolphins Last year's unanimous league MVP is already starting his award collection this season.

Tom Brady was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday morning for his dismantling of the Dolphins on Monday night. Brady went 32-for-48 for a franchise-record 517 yards and four touchdowns. He also tied a record that won't ever be broken (unless they make the field bigger) by completing a 99-yard touchdown pass to Wes Welker.

Brady became just the 11th player to throw for 500 or more yards in a game, and the 517 yards put him at fifth all time.

It is the 18th time in Brady's career that he's been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week, and he trails only Peyton Manning (20).
