The 2011-12 NHL season officially begins on Thursday, when the Boston Bruins will hang their first banner in 39 years. The Bruins don't have to wait until then to remember and celebrate their Stanley Cup championship, though, as the team announced it will hold a championship ring ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the Boston Harbor Hotel.

The rings were designed by Jostens and will be unveiled a team dinner. That ceremony will be private, but the players, coaches and staff will walk the red carpet on their way in and out of the event.

The rings will arrive via armored car at 4 p.m., with the Bruins arriving around 5:30 p.m. They'll be out to show off their new jewelry around 8:30 p.m.
