Bruins Wearing Commemorative Stanley Cup Banner Patch on Jerseys for Home Opener (Photo)

Championship teams often wear commemorative uniforms or jersey patches as they open their title defense. When the Bruins open their Stanley Cup title defense on Thursday night, things will be no different.

On the same night the B's raise their 2011 Stanley Cup banner to the TD Garden rafters, they'll also be sporting a patch of the banner on their jerseys. 

The Bruins' official Twitter feed tweeted a photo of the patch on one of the B's jerseys on Thursday afternoon saying that the Black and Gold would be featuring the jersey patch on Opening Night.
