The Bruins faced an uphill battle against the Blackhawks last Saturday night after falling behind 1-0 in the first period and forced to kill off a penalty early in the second.

As he did throughout the playoffs last season, Chris Kelly displayed his short-handed prowess, taking a feed from Rich Peverley on a two-on-one break and snapping a wrist shot past Chicago's Corey Crawford to tie things at 1-1. The B's went on to defeat their Original Six foes 3-2 in a shootout.

Kelly's short-handed goal beat out Peverley's power-play score against Carolina and Nathan Horton's game-tying goal to earn the Captain Morgan Goal of the Week honor.
