The New England Revolution hosted the Seattle Sounders at Gillette Stadium Saturday night and were on the losing side as Sounders forward Fredy Montero scored twice en route to a 2-1 victory.
The Sounders improved to 16-6-9 on the season, winning five of their last six matches, while the Revs fall to 5-14-12. The Revs are 4-5-6 at home, scoring a total of just 16 goals. New England has one win in its last 11 matches.
The Revs opened up the scoring in the 35th minute when 16-year-old Diego Fagundez headed in a corner kick from Benny Feilhaber.
The Revolution look to get back on the right track next Sunday against the San Jose Earthquakes.
