Will the Jets Make the Playoffs This Season? It's tough to put entirely too much stock into NFL regular season games that take place before Halloween. But there's no denying the importance of this weekend's Patriots-Jets showdown, at least for New York.

The Jets enter Sunday's throwdown at Gillette Stadium with a 2-2 record and find themselves looking up at not only the Patriots, but the Bills as well in the AFC East standings.

While it is early still, the Jets have not looked impressive at all this season, especially in last week's ugly Sunday night loss to the Ravens.

If there is one thing to snap the Jets out of a slump, it may be a trip to Foxboro. The Jets have actually won three of their last five meetings with the Patriots, including a win at Gillette in last year's playoffs to knock out the Patriots. A win this week would put the Jets right back on the right track.

However, if the Jets were to fall to the Patriots this weekend, things would start to look pretty bleak for Gang Green. With six teams at 3-1 in the AFC entering the weekend, there isn't much room for error for Rex Ryan's bunch.
