Arsene Wenger Thinks Brek Shea Can Grow at Arsenal, Sees Soccer's Future in America and Asia (Video)Arsene Wenger hopes Brek Shea will grow as a player in his month-long training stint at Arsenal. The FC Dallas playmaker will spend December with the Gunners, strengthening ties between U.S. Soccer and influential figures at the game’s highest level.

Shea’s Arsenal adventure was facilitated by U.S. national team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann. The MLS MVP finalist will not play in competitive games for the club and it is not a loan move.

But Wenger and Klinsmann agree that exposure to the top level can only help the 21-year-old in his career. Shea recently cemented a place in the U.S. national team and is on the radar at several top European clubs.

Wenger also thinks soccer’s future lies in America and Asia because of the attitudes and work ethic of its players.

See the video below for Wenger’s thoughts on Shea and American soccer.
