FOXBORO, Mass. — Wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, linebacker Brandon Spikes and linebacker Dane Fletcher were all present for the Patriots' walkthrough Wednesday after missing time with their respective injuries.
Ochocinco missed his first practice of the season Friday with a hamstring injury. Spikes had missed three weeks with a knee injury, though it was unclear how much he would participate Wednesday, as he was wearing a heavy winter jacket while standing on the sideline during the media portion of practice. Fletcher had missed six weeks with a thumb injury. All three practiced on a limited basis, according to the team's injury report.
Tackle Sebastian Vollmer was the only player missing from the walkthrough after injuring his ankle in the first half Sunday in Philadelphia. He was listed on the injury report with back and foot ailments.
Backup offensive linemen Donald Thomas and Nick McDonald (practice squad) were snapping the ball to quarterbacks Tom Brady and Brian Hoyer off to the side during special teams drills. Therefore, it looks like Thomas would be the emergency center if Dan Connolly and Ryan Wendell were pressed from action.
The Patriots have held a walkthrough to start their last three weeks of practice. During their last two weeks, any players who didn't participate in that walkthrough did not suit up for the ensuing game, which might be a bad sign for Vollmer.
Aside from Vollmer's ankle injury, there were three other new injuries on the report. Jack-of-all-trades Julian Edelman (back), cornerback Antwaun Molden (concussion) and Wendell (calf) were all limited in Wednesday's practice.
Safety Patrick Chung (foot), Connolly (groin), linebacker Gary Guyton (shoulder), safety James Ihedigbo (shoulder), left tackle Matt Light (ankle), cornerback Devin McCourty (shoulder), wide receiver Taylor Price (hamstring) and wide receiver Matthew Slater (shoulder) were also limited.
Right guard Brian Waters (knee) fully participated.
