It's becoming more and more likely that Brian Vickers and Matt Kenseth won't be exchanging greeting cards this holiday season. Vickers wrecked Kenseth at Phoenix on Sunday, which Kenseth believes is payback for their Martinsville crash.

Vickers came up behind Kenseth on Lap 177 at Phoenix and made contact, sending him into the wall and bringing out a caution flag. Vicker maintains the incident wasn't intentional, but it seems a bit fishy considering the two's history.

Kenseth spun Vickers at Martinsville two races ago with less than 50 laps remaining after an intense side-by-side battle. Kenseth said after that race that he was tired of Vickers slamming into his door. Vickers tried to retaliate later in the race by getting into the back of Kenseth's slowed car.

Following Sunday's race at Phoenix International Raceway, Kenseth said it was obvious Vickers was still looking to retaliate for the Martinsville wreck, and he was surprised that NASCAR didn't step in.

"You have someone that has been telling everybody for four or five weeks that as soon as he got a chance at a fast racetrack, he was going to make it hurt and wipe us out," Kenseth said. "And they do nothing about it. It was so premeditated. It just surprises me that (NASCAR) didn't do anything."

Vickers told The Associated Press that he doesn't know what happened. He said Kenseth just stopped and he's not sure why.

"If he wants to doubt us, that's fine," Vickers said. "He wrecked me at Martinsville, he got wrecked here, but it actually wasn't (payback). I'm not saying I wasn't going to pay him back, but I'm just saying that wasn't it."
