David Beckham Loves L.A., But Will Decide on Future after MLS Cup 2011David Beckham's American adventure has exceeded his wildest expectations. He told Fox Sports Radio that he loves life in Los Angeles but is not sure if he will end his playing career in the city he's called home since 2007.

"I have loved every minute of it," the 36-year-old L.A. Galaxy midfielder said. "I've been here and this is my 5th season. Everywhere I have gone and everywhere I have played I have always honored my contracts, which I have here."

The former England captain is in the fifth and final year of the contract he signed with Major League Soccer in 2007. This season has been by far his most successful on-field. The 2011 Galaxy is one of the best teams in league history. The former England captain's stellar play and leadership has helped the club earn a birth in MLS Cup, which takes place on Nov. 20. It will play the Houston Dynamo at the Home Depot Center (the Galaxy's home field).

The global icon has not decided if he will re-sign with Los Angeles or see out his playing days in another country. He has been linked to French club Paris St. Germain and a number of English clubs. He chooses to focus on the task at hand and not speculate about his future.

"Right now I don't know what I am going to do at the end of the season because physically I need to see how I am," he said.

"Obviously there is a few things to look at. Is my family happy? Which they are. They love living here. We love living here. In the 5 years we have had great experiences as a family. Everyone has treated us so unbelievably well, but physically I still need to see where I am at the end of the season. Then I will decide."

Beckham earns $6.5 million per year under his current contract. He was the first of MLS's "designated players," meaning only a small portion of his salary counts against the team's salary cap. MLS officials say he was a worthwile investment because sponsors noticed the increased attention his presence brought to soccer in America.
