FOXBORO, Mass. — Patriots cornerback Devin McCourty missed his first practice of the season Wednesday after suffering a shoulder injury during Sunday's victory against the Jets.

Linebackers Brandon Spikes (knee) and Dane Fletcher (thumb) were also not present. The Patriots conducted a walkthrough in the Dana-Farber Field House to start their week of preparation for Monday's game against the Chiefs. The Pats will likely conduct three full practices Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Spikes hasn't practiced since injuring his knee in last week's loss to the Giants, and Fletcher hasn't participated in a practice since injuring his thumb in New England's Week 6 victory against the Cowboys.
