Jaguars Kicker Josh Scobee Calls DeSean Jackson ‘Punk,’ Sparking Twitter Feud

Twitter has done it again.

In what seems like a weekly occurrence nowadays, two athletes have exchanged verbal blows. This week's combatants: Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee and Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson.

Scobee fired the first shot, sending out a tweet on Sunday night in which he called the Eagles wideout a "punk."

He tweeted: "Desean Jackson is a punk. #growuputinybastard"

Apparently, Scobee was upset about Jackson's taunting penalty during Sunday night's Eagles-Giants game. Jackson flipped the ball at a Giants assistant coach and boldly celebrated after making a 50-yard grab. The G-Men were also flagged for illegal contact on the play, and Jackson's big play was wiped off the board as the penalties offset. As a result, the Eagles remained in the shadows of their own goal post.

Scobee didn't stop with that single tweet, though. Instead, he fired off another shot, which seemed to come after some angry responses — presumably from bitter Eagles fans.

"Relax people. He's just a punk, which to me means he doesn't respect anyone or anything around him. Therefore, I don't respect him," the kicker tweeted.

Scobee did apologize the next day, insisting he used the wrong words to try to make his point. Jackson wanted nothing of the apology, though.

Jackson tweeted: "This man @joshscobee is Waaaaaaay outta LIne!! Stick to ya Own business.. Mind ya own!! I don't respect what u sayin.. Lil Boi status"

The controversial receiver then said that he doesn't even know who Scobee is. It's hard to believe that's true, but he did tweet at the wrong person (Josh Scobee's twitter handle is @JoshScobee10, not @joshscobee), so who knows?
