To paraphrase Adam Sandler, "If your dog is lost, you don't look for an hour then call it quits. You get out there and you find that dog!"

One owner's persistent search for his lost dog, Cocoa, paid off with some help from San Jose Sharks forward Joe Pavelski, who was able to reunite the pup with its owner, according to CSN Bay Area.

A stray dog wandered into Pavelski's backyard on Saturday afternoon and began playing with the Pavelski family dog. Pavelski's wife then noticed that the stray looked a lot like one pictured on a flyer the couple's babysitter had received the day before.

So, they called the number on the flyer and reunited Cocoa with her very thankful owner, who wrote about the whole episode on his own blog.

Looks like the "Puppy Who Lost His Way" found it after all.
