For the second week in a row, a New England Patriot has received a Player of the Week award from the NFL. Julian Edelman was awarde the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week on Wednesday. Last week, defensive end Andre Carter was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week.

During Monday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Edelman returned a third-quarter punt 72 yards for a touchdown to give the Patriots a commanding lead.

The Patriots have received four Player of the Week awards this season. Quarterback Tom Brady was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Weeks 1 and 2.
