The 1972 Dolphins are the only team in NFL history to go undefeated en route to a Super Bowl title. But with the Packers sitting at a perfect 9-0, there's starting to be a lot of discussions about whether they could do the same.

Mercury Morris, the outspoken running back of the '72 team, said he would praise the Packers if they manage to go undefeated.

"I have nothing but good things to say about the Packers," Morris said, according to Fox Sports Florida. "If they [end up] in our neighborhood, they're a credit to the sport. They don't have a bunch of guys out there who view themselves as entertainers."

Morris didn't have such kind things to say about the 2007 Patriots, the last team to threaten the Dolphins' accomplishment.

"I didn't like the way [the Patriots] came across [four years ago]," Morris continued. "They thought it was just a formality [finishing 19-0] … They were too much in your face. They wanted you to bow down to them and kiss the king's ring."

Still, if the Packers are able to finish 19-0, Morris doesn't think that makes them better than his team.

"I don't want to hear from the pundits that they're going to pass us," Morris said. "We were the first team to do it. They'd be the second team. They won't be better than us just because they won 19 games."
