Patriots Report Card: Tom Brady, Patriots Defense Prey on Vince Young, Eagles MistakesThe Patriots rocked the supremely talented and maddeningly individualistic Eagles to the tune of a 38-20 victory Sunday in Philadelphia.

Due to the strong performance, the Patriots got Monday off and will begin full preparations for the Colts on Wednesday in what is shaping up to be a glorified bye week.

Let's hang this report card on the refrigerator.

Offense

Jeff Howe: A

Tom Brady is the only player to record eight victories with at least 350 passing yards, three touchdown passes and no interceptions.

Defense

It's tough to give them a perfect grade because Vince Young was so abysmal, but the Patriots really recovered after two big breakdowns in the first two series. In the Eagles' next eight series, the Patriots held them to three points while forcing one turnover and three three-and-outs.

Special Teams

Jeff Howe: B

The highest marks come from keeping the ball away from DeSean Jackson, who didn't get a chance to return a single punt.

This was a dominant performance, and it showed the difference between a well-prepared team and one that has no discipline and too much individualism.

The Eagles were garbage.

Jeff Howe: Tom Brady

He was nearly flawless and did it without the protection on his elbow, which was a sign he's getting better.

Unsung Hero

Jeff Howe: Nate Solder

The first-round pick played a bunch of snaps in the first half as an extra tackle to counter Philly's pass rush, and he played well in place of Sebastian Vollmer in the second half.
