Not that there was much doubt, but Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck is expected to enter the 2012 NFL draft after this season.

Luck, a senior, redshirted his freshman year, giving him one more year of eligibility to play. However, Luck will not enroll in classes next quarter and will focus on preparing for the NFL draft in April, Yahoo! Sports report.

The report negates the speculation as to whether Luck would play next season at Stanford, or at least claim to, if he was going to be drafted by a team he didn’t want to play for, according to Yahoo Sports.

Because Stanford allows students to earn credit without being in the classroom (internships, thesis work, etc.), Luck could still earn his degree.

Stanford is 10-1 and currently ranked No. 6 in the nation.
