Many NBA players have already decided to take their talents overseas during the lockout. Could Paul Pierce be the next to do so?
A Spanish radio station, Radio Marca, has reported that the Celtics captain is drawing interest from at least two teams, including Unicaja Malaga and CAI Zaragoza. Pierce has expressed a desire to play abroad, particularly in Spain, the station reports.
The report also suggests that playing overseas would require a great deal of insurance in case the 34-year-old were to suffer an injury while playing there.
Pierce, a 13-year veteran, signed a four-year extension worth $61.3 million with the C's in July 2010. He was set to make $15.3 million during the upcoming season.
