Send NESN's Tom Caron a Question for His Weekly Red Sox MailbagThe calendar turns to December this week, but could it soon be Valentine's Day at Fenway Park?

The Red Sox continue to weigh managerial options, with the hottest name being former Mets skipper Bobby Valentine. Bobby V was in Boston last week to meet with general manager Ben Cherington, and a final decision is expected within the next week. If Valentine does not get the job, Gene Lamont, the former manager of the White Sox and Pirates who spent last season as the third base coach for the Tigers, is considered the other finalist for the manager position.

If Cherington and Co. decide to hire Valentine, what does that mean for the Sox? How will the 61-year-old's approach to the game impact the Sox clubhouse? How does he compare to former bench boss Terry Francona? Will we see any moustaches in the dugout?

Hot stove season already claimed its first Sox loss as closer Jonathan Papelbon chose to sign with the Phillies. Will the Sox look to replace Paps with a free agent arm, or will they turn the reigns over to Daniel Bard?

Don't forget about the compesation talks for Theo Epstein. The Cubs and Red Sox have yet to come to an agreement, and Bud Selig is patiently waiting for the deal to come to a close.

Finally, the AL MVP votes were released and Tigers ace Justin Verlander edged Jacoby Ellsbury for the honor. Should Ells have taken home the hardware over Verlander?

With plenty to talk about, Tom Caron is here to sort through all the happenings in Red Sox Nation. TC will review reader questions and select the best ones to answer. Be sure to see if he picks your question.
