Vince Carter Leaps Over 7-Foot-2 French Center Frederic Weis at 2000 Olympic Games (Video)

The USA men’s basketball team did not lose a single game in its quest for the gold medal at the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney. It’s not difficult to see why with a cast that included Jason Kidd, Kevin Garnett and Vince Carter in the primes of their careers.

Carter displayed his dunking prowess during a game against France. After stealing the ball, Carter ran full speed toward the basket on the left side of the paint. There was just one problem: 7-foot-2-inch Frederic Weis was standing in his way.

That didn’t stop Carter from posterizing Weis for perhaps the most electric dunk of the Games.
